Wireless Computer Accessories: Fun and Convenient

macys.com
We spend so much time on the computers these days; I know I live on mine. In fact, the other day I had to swear to my daughter’s boyfriend that I had moved since the last time he had come over and seen me there. Hard sell considering I was wearing the same blue dress. I digress, my point is, since we spend so much time in front of the computer why not make it fun? What follows is a list of gadgets to enhance your computer time.

Wireless Mouse and Keyboard

I switched over to a wireless keyboard and mouse a few years ago and would never think of switching back. I love being able to move them anywhere on the desk without worrying about getting two sets of cords tangles. They way they work is you plug a transmitter into the connectors for the mouse and keyboard which sends an infrared signal to the two devices. They both run on AA batteries. The best part was being able to walk with my keyboard into the other room to get my husband to change the battery for me!

Cordless Number Pad

If you are traveling and need to crunch some numbers this is the device for you. The wireless number pad offers effortless data entry. Use one-touch application keys for instant access to Excel, Calculator, and the Web. Extra shortcut keys speed up Excel operations. The all-terrain optical engine works on just about any table or surface. Smart number pad enters your numbers quickly, works as a calculator or controls PC audio and video. Wireless USB mini-receiver fits into crowded connector areas, without the need for any cables.

The Kensington Wireless Presentation Device

The Kensington Wireless Presentation Device eliminates worrisome distractions for presenters. With the wireless remote, presenters can roam "unleashed," controlling presentations from up to 50 feet away. The intuitive, four-button unit is easy to use, features a one-touch start button, and can run on a single battery for up to two years. For added convenience, the wireless receiver even tucks inside the palm-sized controller for carrying.
